Business Analyst

What will you be bringing to the team?

• Work closely with the stakeholders to elicit, document, prioritize, analyze, and validate business needs and solution requirements
• Assist the Project/Release Manager to maintain the product and iteration backlogs
• Support the relevant stakeholders with decision-making
• Prepare and maintain the software requirement specification
• Organize and facilitate workshops (on-site or online)
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis
• Work with teams of Analysts, Developers, Testers, etc. to ensure a common understanding of the needs, sufficient quality and appropriate coverage of test cases, and a sound technical design supporting the defined requirements
• Produce and maintain business analysis outputs, including use cases, requirements, mock-ups, user stories, and data models
• Verify and validate requirements and manage requirements traceability
• Produce IT technical documentation in the context of Proof of Concepts and Feasibility Studies
• Review and edit technical documentation authored by others
• Write and maintain technical and end-user documentation for information systems during and after their development
• Verify the technical and end-user documentation against applications
• Work with Agile Project Management tools/DevOps platform (e.g., Azure DevOps)

Requirements

What do you need to succeed in this position?

• University degree
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in IT
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Business Analysis related to IT software development and maintenance projects, and software product lifecycle management
• Proven knowledge and experience of Business Analysis for IT solutions
• Excellent technical writing skills
• Ability to communicate in both technical and business language
• Ability to understand new business contexts
• Experience with collecting requirements remotely using appropriate techniques (e.g. MS Teams) to achieve high-quality documented requirements
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with understanding and efficiently summarizing large quantities of information
• Meeting organization and facilitation skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Ability to adjust communication based on target group, e.g., business and good listening skills
• Advanced knowledge of industry Business Analysis best practices (e.g. BABOK).
• Practical knowledge of Agile Project Management practices (e.g. DevOps, Scrum)
• Experience working with work item management tools (e.g. DevOps Azure)
• Good understanding of ArchiMate
• UML Excellent knowledge
