Job Description - Business Development Support Associate

Our partners, Rogan Associates, the Leading Consulting Engineering Firm in Port & Waterfront Development of Greece are in a fast pace of growth. They are currently looking to support their Business Development Department with a support associate. Someone who will leverage the experience of EU projects, impeccable organizational skills and robust project coordination and communication competence.

Mission:  To support the enhancement the growth and success of the Business Development Department.This role aims to secure new business opportunities and funding by successfully identifying and responding to tenders and proposals. The Associate will ensure compliance with major donor requirements, particularly those of the European Commission, and contribute to winning high-quality projects from both public and private sectors.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Attend meetings with prospective business partners and individual consultants.
  • Update the firm’s project references and CVs, maintaining accurate records of submitted proposals for future opportunities.
  • Identify and select suitable CVs of individual consultants in line with specific tender requirements.
  • Identify and respond to open calls for tenders promptly and efficiently, adhering to the requirements of major donors.
  • Monitor and meet internal deadlines, analyzing Expressions of Interest (EOIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Assist in the preparation of high-quality proposals for both public and private sectors, including projects funded by international organizations such as the World Bank and the European Commission.
  • Prepare, gather, and translate administrative documents for tender participation.
  • Collect completion letters from clients and track the status of the firm’s completed projects.
  • Update and prepare presentations in PowerPoint, including promotional materials such as pamphlets.
  • Contribute content to the firm’s website and LinkedIn profile.

Requirements

Skills and Competencies:

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, yet adaptable and really fast paced.
  • Flexible and capable of taking initiative, with the ability to prioritize among competing demands.
  • Strong written communication skills in both English and Greek.
  • Effective team player who can work under pressure and identify the right team members for support on various subjects.
  • Strong critical thinking and abstract reasoning abilities.
  • Positive attitude, treating difficulties as challenges.
  • High sense of ownership and commitment to quality in work.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • University degree, preferably in Engineering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • PRINCE2 or PMP professional qualification is a plus.
  • Previous work experience in a reputable consulting firm in a similar or equivalent role is a plus.
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign or equivalent design software is a plus.
