Civil engineer (Technical director assistant)

Job description

1) Supervision of projects

a. Preparing a detailed project plan to schedule key project milestones, work streams & activities.

b. Managing the relationship and communication with the client and all stakeholders, ensuring the project is delivered to their satisfaction.

c. Quality control of civil works.

d. Ensure that projects run smoothly, and structures are completed within budget and on time. 

e. Tracking project and providing regular reports on project status to project team and key stakeholders.

f. Managing and adjusting for any changes in project scope, schedule and/or budget.

g. Resolve design and development problems.

h. Meet and coordinate with clients and a variety of professionals including consultants, and contractors.

i. Check and confirm contractor's payment valuations.

j. Schedule material and equipment purchases and deliveries. 

k. Ensure that the project complies with legal requirements, especially health and safety.

l. Prepare snagging list and supervise their execution.

2) Technical support 

a. Prepare technical studies including site investigations.

b. Use a range of computer software for developing detailed designs and solutions.

c. Undertake design calculations. 

d. Valuation of the cost of construction works. 

e. Supervise tendering procedures.

f. Check and make comments on project's drawings.

g. Identifying and mitigating potential risks.

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.

• ETEK membership.

• Computer literate (Microsoft office, AutoCAD etc) 

• Fluent in Greek and English languages.

• 2-3 years of relative experience.

• Verbal and written communication skills.
