Compliance Officer (Sanctions-entry level)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our compliance team as a Sanctions Compliance Officer .

Responsibilities:

• Conduct sanctions screening of clients, transactions and third parties against relevant sanction lists.
• Use investigative tools and web research to analyse vessel movements, beneficial ownership, and potential sanctions links to discount or identify potential sanctions concerns.
• Assist in the review of sanctions related regulatory examination and internal audit deliverables.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of all sanction’s compliance activities.
• Work closely with other departments, including Legal, Risk Management, and Operations, to ensure comprehensive compliance with sanctions regulations.
• Stay up to date on changes to relevant sanctions laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Political Science, or related field.
• Previous experience or internship in compliance, legal, or a related field is considered a plus.
• Basic understanding of sanctions regulations and compliance practices.
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Fluent in English and Greek.
