Devop Engineer

We are a new company founded in 2021, with many years of experience in retail and e-commerce services. With a fresh philosophy, vision and attitude, we created an innovative e-commerce platform, SHOPFLIX, with the aim of providing the best experience for each user throughout the shopping journey, before and after each purchase.

To help us build functional systems that improve customer experience we are looking for a DevOps Engineer. The ideal candidate will be an energetic person who will help drive how the company deploys, verifies, and monitors applications and services. This person will interface with all stakeholders to define DevOps processes and help shape the development culture. This role also assists in the ongoing improvement of CI/CD environment provisioning and development workflows. You will ensure that they have appropriate levels of monitoring and alerting set up for all applications across a mix of physical servers, private cloud and public cloud.

Objectives of this Role:

• Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
• Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
• Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
• Working with software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
• Βeing involved in project roadmap decisions

Responsibilities :

• Deploy updates and fixes
• Analyze current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them
• Perform root cause analysis for production errors
• Investigate and resolve technical issues
• Develop scripts to automate visualization
• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance

Requirements

• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
• Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
• Proficient with git and git workflows
• Familiarity with AWS products including EC2, ECS, RDS, ELB Load Balancer, Route 53, Lambda, CloudWatch, and CloudFront
• Problem-solving attitude
• Collaborative team spirit
• You possess at least 3 years of demonstrable work experience as a DevOps Engineer in AWS Cloud environment.
• You should demonstrate knowledge in handling distributed data systems. Examples: Elastisearch, Cassandra, Hadoop, and others.

Will be considered a plus:

• Knowledge of gitlab-ci pipelines and Kubernetes
• Working knowledge of databases and SQL
• Strong knowledge of and practical experience with DNS, NGINX, MySQL, MongoDB,and Docker
