About the Role

The Field Manager is an exciting role with the mission of improving the distribution and Rate of sale of Diageo’s products in retail stores in the key cities and hotspots across Greece, by being the key point of reference for our Third Party provider and ensure all contractual critical metrics are achieved and therefore, Diageo’s NSV growth ambition is delivered. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Commercial Director and the NAM to craft the Perfect Store executional standards, using experience gained in the field and category knowledge.

  • Leading a team of 3 Field Sales Supervisors & 1 Merchandizing manager.

  • Handling the third party merchandizing agency relationship- business - wow (Frequency; coverage; standard execution)

  • Review and optimization of POS panel and visit frequency based on POS potentiality and actionability.

  • Definition of quarterly targets for third party Area Manager and Retail Specialist.

  • Ensure Distribution and shelf visibility of Diageo SKUs following Category Developmentguidelines.

  • Ensure Full and qualitative Execution of Marketing Plan at store level.

  • Ensure TRAX data collection.

  • Mentor and support Area Manager of external agency in delivery the accurate message and materials to Retail Specialist.

  • Support Category Development & Customer Marketing in the review of activation plan based on the field feedback and experience.

  • Negotiate with regional store managers for additional activation plan.

  • Setting up clear sales targets/execution KPI’s for Third Party provider and monitor team performance regularly.

  • Collect feedback and evaluation on performance of growth drivers and propositions and provide insight and input to help optimize our tools and plans going forward.

  • Report to Commercial Director & LT on execution performance and development of key KPIs.

  • Secure on shelf availability across retailers, minimizing Out of Stock Risk.

  • About you

    You are:

  • Guide in building multi-point relationships with customers and delivering brilliant execution of our priority Execution Standards.

  • Knowledgeable, credible, consultative and highly commercial approach, strong Off Trade experience.

  • Comfortable working within a fast-paced organisation.

  • Solution oriented thinker and an excellent communicator – both verbal and written.

  • Highly organised, able to plan customer activities in line with the strategy across Italy.

  • Understanding of key metrics and ability to use reports to review performance.

  • Excellent teammate in a multifunctional environment, motivated person able to engage the others.

  • Ability to generate ideas grounded in a deep understanding of customer requirements and lead them through to successful execution.

  • Demonstrate strong-followership of centrally-driven decisions and deliver brilliant execution of template programmes and activities.

  • 3- 5 commercial experience in field sales, preferably in FMCG sector beverage industry.

  • Proficient in Greek & English.
