If so, Optimal, on behalf of its client, a firm specializing in financial advisory services, is seeking to recruit a Financial Analyst to join their fast-growing, dynamic team in Athens.

Scope of the role

Support companies and organizations from a wide range of fields with their financial decision-making and contribute to their overall growth and profitability.

Your day – to day

• Analyze and process financial data
• Design and write business plans, model reports and benchmarking analyses
• Participate in projects and processes that help organizations evaluate their performance, identify areas for improvement, and make informed decisions based on budgets, forecasts, industry trends
• Prepare presentations for Managers, making effective adaptations to the specific project needs
• Build robust financial models that support budgeting, planning, and management reporting, providing valuable insights for decision-making within any organization
• Support budgeting efforts at organizations
• Compile written reports on financial statuses and recommendations
• Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations, recording, summarizing, analyzing, and interpreting financial transactions of various types of organizations
• Working in team-projects with the aim to navigate technical challenges and develop creative solutions that drive continuous improvement and success for the company and its clients

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance and other related fields (e.g. Economics, Business Administration, Statistics)
• Postgraduate degree or professional qualifications, ACCA, CFA is desirable
• 3-5 years of professional experience in a relevant role, preferably in a consulting position/firm
• Advanced Financial Analysis & Reporting skills (produce financial plans, projections, and analytical reports for use in investment decisions by companies, public and private organizations)
• Strong financial modeling skills, able to create sophisticated types of financial models
• Excellent command of the English language
• Computer literacy
• Organization and time management skills, analytical and problem-solving skills
• A confident and positive attitude, focused on teamwork and communication with colleagues and clients at all levels
