CARA has four strategically located stores in Limassol and Nicosia, including an exclusive multi-brand boutique at Parklane Resort & Spa and the first LOEWE boutique in Cyprus situated in The Retail Village at Nammos Limassol.

Role Overview:

The Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of our luxury fashion retail group. This position requires a meticulous and strategic thinker who can manage financial performance, ensure compliance, and provide insightful analysis to support our growth and profitability objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, exceptional analytical skills, and a passion for the luxury fashion industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure robust financial controls and compliance with regulations.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing regular reports to senior management.
• Manage cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reports.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with department heads to develop budgets and financial plans.
• Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards.
• Liaise with external auditors and manage the annual audit process.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field,
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role (if the experience is within the retail or luxury goods industry it will a plus).
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems;
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Proficiency in both English & Greek language is a must
