Financial Risk Management - Manager

We wish to appoint a Financial Risk Management Manager in our Banking / Financial Risk Management Advisory team in Athens, to be involved in various projects for leading Greek and international Banks and other financial institutions.

Responsibilities

• Engage in risk quantification and model validation projects.
• Review and validate risk management regulatory reports and policies,
• Review, measurement, monitoring and control of credit and/or market and/or liquidity risk.
• Consulting on new products, services and procedures in matters related to financial risk management.

Requirements

• BSc and/or a MSc in Mathematics, Physics, Risk Management, Engineering, Statistics, Econometrics, or other related field with strong quantitative focus (Ph.D. or other certification in risk management e.g., PRM, CFA, FRM will be considered as an asset)
• 5 - 7 years of working experience in financial risk management in banks/financial institutions. Experience in consultancy will be highly regarded.
• Good knowledge of the risk management regulatory reporting & implementation, for instance: CRD / Basel / EBA guidelines /IFRS 9.
• Excellent analytical skills, evidence of statistical models / machine learning models & algorithms development will be highly regarded. Advanced understanding of market and/or credit and/or liquidity risk quantification methods.
• Strong programming skills (e.g., R, Python, SQL, SAS, SPSS, MATLAB, STATA) will be highly regarded.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details.
• Good knowledge of banking products.
• Ambition to work in a dynamic, fast paced work environment and ability / flexibility to travel and work abroad for international projects.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English. Knowledge of additional languages will be considered an asset.
