Scope of the role:
Responsible for leading the PM team as the Head of Projects in the Hospitality / Construction sector. This role is pivotal in leading the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects within the portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality projects within budget, on time.
Requirements
KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform Project Management Control tasks in company’s hotel asset projects.
- Reporting to the General Manager for all active projects.
- Coordination of the different Stakeholders of the projects.
- Project budget control.
- Ensure objectives of the property and the operator are being met.
- Risk detection, analysis and mitigation.
- Constant monitoring.
MORE SPECIFICALLY:
- Resource management:
Allocate resources effectively and efficiently. Collaborate with department heads. Manage and lead cross-functional teams. Coordinate technical and consulting teams and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Stakeholder communication:
Establish and maintain communication channels with project stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project progress, risks and issues. Conduct project status meetings and presentations.
- Risk management:
Identify and assess potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactive management of issues and changes in project scope. Implement contingency plans when necessary.
- Budget oversight:
Develop project budgets and ensure compliance with financial constraints. Monitor project costs and track budget variances. Monitor project costs and suggest cost-saving measures where necessary.
- Change management:
Evaluate and manage changes to the project scope. Recommends to the PM changes to relevant parties and assess their impact on project timelines, quality and budget.
- Quality assurance:
Monitor and evaluate project deliverables to ensure that they meet quality and scope objectives throughout the process.
- Monitoring project execution:
Monitor the progress of running projects. Ensure that project objectives are achieved according to the defined project plan.
- Closure and evaluation:
Conduct project self-evaluations to analyze successes and areas for improvement of the PM’s. Ensure proper project closure and knowledge transfer.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Civil Engineer; Architect; Mechanical Engineer; Technical Architect.
- Coming from Construction Companies, Engineering, Architectural Firms or Project Management firms.
- Experience in architectural project management.
- Previous experience in hotel projects.
- Previous experience in team management.
- Proven experience as a project manager.
- Knowledge of construction processes, codes and regulations.
- Εxcellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Proficiency in Virtual Environments management.
- Fluent in English. High written and spoken level. Advanced or Proficiency minimum.
- Experience working on international projects and with international teams or abroad.
- Fluent in Greek. High written and spoken level.
