About the role
We are seeking a reliable IT Administrator to be responsible for providing technical support, managing and maintaining IT systems and infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT environment.
This is a strictly on-site role in our Athens, GR office
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Install, configure, and maintain software, hardware, and network systems
- Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and security of IT systems
- Collaborate with IT team members to implement and maintain IT policies and procedures
- Manage user accounts and access controls
- Perform regular system backups and ensure data integrity
- Keep up-to-date with the latest IT trends and technologies to enhance the IT infrastructure
Requirements
Must have:
- Greek nationality (and fulfilled military obligations for male candidates)
- Excellent use of English
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma of vocational training on a related field
- Experience as an IT Administrator or similar role.
- A genuine interest in learning new things and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Linux operating system and bash programming
- Basic familiarity with:
- corporate enterprise computer systems and architecture (VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, VMs, NAS/SAN, cloud architecture)
- infrastructure (racks, RAID arrays, server systems, SDNs, etc.)
- networking and computer security protocols (such as TLS, PKI, IPv4/v6, DNS, etc.) and methodologies (SOC, NOC, SaaS, etc.)
Optional:
- Experience with cloud-based systems and virtualization technologies
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with docker and other containerization technologies
- Familiarity with python or/and any of the following programming languages: C/C++, PHP, Javascript.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure operations
