ManpowerGroup Greece , on behalf of its client, a leader in its domain, is looking for an IT System Administrator.

📌  Location:  Athens, Greece (You need to be based in Greece and holder of EU Permit)

📍  Working Model:  Hybrid – 09:00-17:30. Availability to travel (2 weeks at the beginning, once you are hired, for training/onboarding purposes & occasionally for Global IT Summits)

🖋  You will be reporting to:  Back-end IT Infrastructure Team Lead

What you will do:

You will be part of the regional (3 people) & global (6 people) back-end/Infrastructure team. As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing software, hardware, and networks. Your goal will be to ensure that their technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently, supporting business operations effectively.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows Servers in the company’s enterprise environment, ensuring optimal performance and availability 💾
• Providing technical support to the local team, addressing, and resolving hardware and software issues promptly to minimize downtime 🔧
• Managing and troubleshooting network infrastructure including subnetting, routing, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP protocols to maintain seamless connectivity and security 📈
• Implementing and managing virtual environments using VMware to enhance resource utilization and operational efficiency
• Regularly monitoring system performance and conducting routine maintenance to ensure smooth and efficient operations 🛠
• Implementing and managing backup solutions, such as Veeam, to ensure data integrity
• Administering and supporting Office 365 environments to facilitate effective communication and collaboration across the organization
• Maintaining comprehensive documentation of configurations, procedures, and changes to ensure knowledge sharing and operational continuity

Requirements

• 🎓 Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred)
• 💼 2+ years of experience in roles such as System Administrator, IT Support, or Helpdesk
• 🖥 Proficiency in the administration and support of Windows Servers in an enterprise environment
• 🌐 Strong understanding of network concepts including subnetting, routing, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP
• 💽 Experience with virtualization technologies, specifically VMware
• 🔒 Solid knowledge of IT security principles and practices
• 🗣 Proficient in English (German is a plus)
• 🧩 Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Any of the following will be considered a strong asset:

• Experience with mobile device management tools (e.g., Microsoft Intune) 📱
• Familiarity with unified communication platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams)
• Experience with backup solutions (e.g., Veeam)
• Expertise in the administration and support of O365 📨
• Knowledge of SAP Basis Administration
• Experience with software distribution (e.g., Matrix42 Empirum)
• Experience with Cisco network components
• Skilled in hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting 🛠
