Our Company, owner of newly established digital marketplace (WPA wordpress) is seeking a dynamic and ambitious IT Technical Support Engineer to work with our team (remote work)!
Style of work: Remote work
Responsibilities:
- Day to day operations include administration, maintenance, monitoring, upgrades of application infrastructure (web progressive application, wordpress based)
- Providing 1st line users’ support
- Liaise with vendors for problem resolution
- Deploy/ Install updates as well as IP telephony systems
- Collaborating with CEO and Head of IT to escalate /resolve complex issues and ensure timely resolution
- Fulfill any other duties relevant to the job assigned by the company's management.
Skills & Qualifications:
Website Development, customization and maintenance:
- Create & customize WordPress themes/ plugins and implement new functionalities where needed
- Participate in regular updates of WordPress core, themes, and plugins.
- Assist in ensuring website security and backup and manage restoration processes where needed
Content Management:
- Assist in uploading, formatting, and managing website content ensuring that content is SEO friendly and aligns with brand guidelines
- Work with management to improve website content and layout.
Bug Fixes and Troubleshooting:
- Identify and fix bugs related to themes, plugins, and WordPress core.
- Debug issues and improve website performance.
- Provide technical support to website users and vendors.
Tools and Platforms:
- WordPress CMS
- SEO tools like Yoast SEO, Google Search Console, etc.
- Analytics tools like Google Analytics
SEO and Analytics:
- Implement basic SEO best practices.
- Basic knowledge of Google Analytics and other tracking tools.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure compatibility.
- Test new features and functionalities to ensure they meet project requirements.
- Implement and monitor performance optimizations.
Interpersonal skills:
- Participate in team meetings
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure high-quality work with minimal errors.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
