Main duties and responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all parts and components within the inventory system.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and reduce losses effectively.
- Perform routine stock evaluations, collaborating with the purchasing department to ensure timely stock replenishment.
Logistics Coordination:
- Plan and manage the transportation logistics of parts from suppliers to the warehouse, and subsequently to service centers.
- Work closely with logistics service providers to secure timely and cost-efficient transport solutions.
- Monitor and track all shipments, ensuring adherence to scheduled delivery times.
Supplier Collaboration:
- Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with all suppliers to guarantee a consistent and reliable supply chain.
- Negotiate terms with suppliers to optimize costs and service levels.
- Address and resolve any issues concerning part quality or delivery, maintaining high standards of supply chain integrity.
- Coordinates with all Principals and reports to them when requested.
- Prepares and monitors the annual purchase budgets with Principals.
Warehouse Operations:
- Oversee warehouse operations, including the processes of receiving, storing, and dispatching parts.
- Design and implement efficient warehouse layouts and storage solutions to optimize space and workflow.
- Ensure all warehouse activities comply with relevant safety regulations and standards.
Team Management:
- Lead, manage, and develop the Network as well as the warehouse and logistics teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Provide training and development programs to enhance team skills and performance.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implement best practices in warehouse and logistics management.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
The ideal candidate should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven track record in a similar role within logistics and warehouse management. Experience within the automotive sector is advantageous but not essential.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and logistics software.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Excellent command of both Greek and English languages.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership acumen with a talent for motivating, managing, and guiding a team.
