Network Engineer

On behalf of our client, ELPEDISON , we are looking to recruit a Network Engineer.

This role offers a direct contractual association with Elpedison, ensuring that you become an integral part of our client's payroll and contribute your skills to their esteemed organization. Please be aware that our role is exclusively focused on overseeing the recruitment process.

Responsibilities

• Participates as 2nd Level support in incident or problem management activities with regards to network infrastructure.
• Manages availability of allocated network resources and proactively identifies and resolves failures and/or problems.
• Ensures network security, by implementing and configuring security measures & controls, such as firewalls, network traffic analysis systems, intrusion detection systems.
• Performs technical activities such as maintenance, upgrades and other activities associated with network infrastructure.
• Implements monitoring and alerting solutions regarding network infrastructure to validate they meet service level objectives in accordance with company security guidelines.
• Participates in the design, deployment, and configuration of proof of concept and prototype infrastructure environments.
• Provides assistance and guidance during solution design in defining network related technical and functional specification.
• Ensures agreed network-infrastructure standards and blueprints are captured and included in design and build of services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of proven working experience as a Network Engineer in a professional environment.
• Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCSA, ITIL Foundation, CompTIA or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Proficiency in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of network protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and DNS.
• Understanding of network security principles, including access control lists (ACLs), intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPN technologies
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Eagerness to stay updated with the latest network technologies, industry standards, and best practice.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
