PV Field Engineer

Within this framework, we are looking for an agile and highly-motivated “ PV Field Engineer” to join a team of future shapers.

As a PV Field Engineer will be responsible for maintenance and emergency repairs of solar PV systems. You will work closely with our local teams, key customers and partners and with local certification and industry bodies.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance activities (scheduled preventive or nonscheduled corrective) and repairs of electrical equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards
• Resolve electrical issues promptly, minimizing downtime and production disruptions
• Maintain accurate logs and prepare maintenance reports
• Follow systems performance in the field and report power variations and other parameters
• Work closely with PV Monitoring and Technical teams
• Responsible for SLA execution & compliance to customer requirements
• Perform power and energy monitoring of large systems in the field and prepare summary reports

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• A minimum 1-2 years of previous experience in a role including duties of maintenance and repair of solar equipment, troubleshooting, working with LV and MV
• Technically proficient in the field of photovoltaic conversion, direct current circuits and protection designs with a working knowledge of solar PV systems
• Installation electrician’s license will be considered as an asset
• Ability to travel if necessary
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Good knowledge of English Language
• Good knowledge of MS Office software
