Costa Navarino is in Messinia in the southwest Peloponnese, in one of the most unspoiled and breathtaking landscapes in the Mediterranean. It is currently home to four 5-star deluxe hotels, The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort and The Westin Resort at Navarino Dunes, W-Costa Navarino at Navarino Waterfront and Mandarin Oriental Costa Navarino at Navarino Bay.

In the coming years, more upscale branded hotels will be added to our portfolio, both in Messinia and Athens, including the re-launch of the former Athens Hilton.

As a Restaurant Manager at W Costa Navarino, you will play a pivotal role in the smooth operation of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and the achievement of revenue and service standards. You will be responsible for leading a team of dedicated staff, managing daily operations, and overseeing the delivery of high-quality dining services in line with the standards and values of the W Costa Navarino brand.

Responsibilities

  • Understand all brand policies, procedures, standards, specifications, and guidelines
  • Fully understand and comply with all regulations that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements
  • Prepare required paperwork, reports, and schedules in an organized and timely manner
  • Train and develop a team of service staff, including waiters, assistant waiters, hosts/hostesses, cashiers, and bartenders.
  • Set clear performance expectations, provide feedback, and create a positive and motivated work environment.
  • Schedule manpower as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed when and as needed and labor cost objectives are met.
  • Ensure an exceptional level of guest service and satisfaction by upholding the W Costa Navarino brand standards.
  • Ensure that all equipment is in excellent working condition through personal inspection to go above.
  • Address guest feedback and concerns promptly and professionally, striving for resolution and guest retention.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including opening and closing procedures, service quality, and cleanliness.
  • Monitor and manage inventory, including food and beverage supplies, to prevent shortages and waste.
  • Maintain a well-organized and efficient front-of-house and back-of-house operation.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the restaurant's menu offerings, wine and beverage lists, and seasonal changes.
  • Train staff to have a thorough knowledge of menu items and assist guests with menu choices.
  • Monitor and manage the restaurant's financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.
  • Implement cost control measures to optimize financial results while maintaining service quality.
  • Uphold and enforce food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ensure consistent and high-quality food and beverage service through regular staff training and evaluations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager in a high-end or upscale dining establishment.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required.
  • University/College degree in a related discipline preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in managing financial aspects of restaurant operations, including budgeting and cost control.
  • Knowledge of food safety and industry standards.
  • A passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, always remaining calm and courteous.
