Job title: Senior Sales Executive

Who are we recruiting for?
Our client, an innovative leader in the Maritime and Renewable Energy sectors, is seeking a dynamic Senior Sales Executive to join their Commercial Team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in expanding the customer base and driving sales growth.
What will you be doing?
As a Senior Sales Executive, you will:
- Execute business development activities to strategically grow the customer base through prospecting and cold calling, leveraging a repeatable sales process to drive to closure.
- Manage prospective and customer accounts through the full sales cycle in your region.
- Sell primarily to Ship Owners/Ship Operations and various industry verticals within the maritime and enterprise segments.
- Develop and manage your own pipeline of prospective accounts and convert leads into new business customers.
- Keep Salesforce CRM updated, including sales activity, meetings, pipeline, forecasting, etc.
- Maintain a consistent and clear line of communication with customers through diverse channels such as telephone calls, emails, meetings, and presentations either online or face-to-face.
- Present demonstrations on services via video conference.
- Assess customers' specific needs and pain points and map the appropriate product solution.
- Accurately calculate quotations and handle customer procurement matters.
- Gather and report business and market intelligence and industry trends.
- Share customer feedback and communicate product and service opportunities with internal partners.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's products and services, becoming an expert in solutions around satellite connectivity, digital solutions, bridge equipment, and services.
- Exceed activity, pipeline, and revenue targets, and lead contract negotiations.
- Travel 3-4 times a year to represent the company at industry events and conferences.
- Report to the Head of Sales of your region with sales results on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
Are you the ideal candidate?
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- 2-3 years of prior B2B Sales experience working for a technology provider.
- Experience with IT, Telecommunications, Satellite, Shipping, or the Maritime Industry.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels.
- Fluency in English, with knowledge of other languages being beneficial.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
- Experience in sales, customer service, and providing solutions based on customer needs.
- Ability to analyze and enhance current processes through the implementation of best practices.
- The capability to prioritize tasks according to the company's and customer's needs.
- Exceptional coordination skills and the ability to multitask.
- Proven flexibility and a strong work ethic, both independently and in a team environment.
- The ability to collaborate closely with marketing, technical pre-sales, Customer Success, and the service delivery team to ensure alignment between client needs and solution offerings.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications as well as Salesforce CRM software.
- A BSc/BA in business administration, sales, or a relevant field.
