Job Description - Sales Executive

Position description:

The Sales Executive is responsible for providing additional value to the relationships of LeasePlan's prospects and existing customers. The focus is to develop and extend the working relationship to new customers. The individual selected for the job will be concerned with LeasePlan's image, consistency, customer satisfaction, new products and services opportunities and ongoing provision of accurate and timely vehicle fleet performance data and analysis to the assigned accounts.

This position plays a critical role for LeasePlan to achieve successful business development, high penetration, customer retention and loyalty from targeted companies.

The Sales Associate is responsible for providing appropriate assistance to the Sales Manager in the following areas:

  • Identify qualified prospects through references, lists, internet, leads, newspaper, magazines etc. Conduct visits and telephone calls to target companies.
  • Manage the necessary research, data collection and analysis to maintain an action plan for each prospect based on the relevant prospect’s needs;
  • Forge and maintain a close relationship and direct communication line with the account's central decision-making unit (DMU)
  • Follow through the targeted prospect until it becomes a client;
  • Assure that up to date information on each assigned client is available on the MIDAS database, including relevant communication history and updated fleet and contact details;
  • Assure that all reporting requirements, e.g. regular car count, are completed on time  and available on the relevant databases;
  • Present the company and its products and services according to the company guidelines and strategy. Deliver and present proposals.
  • Participate actively to all client/prospect activities and events.
  • Follow company’s procedures, policies and strategy.

Requirements for the Position:

The individual selected for this position must have the willingness and ability to quickly understand the vehicle management market, LeasePlan's overall as well as local strategies and competitors' strategies for developing the business.

This individual must be a university degree graduate and have 2-3 years or more of experience preferably in the fleet management or in B to B services industry, parallel outsourcing industry etc. Experience in account planning, team communications and project management will enhance this individual's effectiveness. In addition, the individual selected will be expected to be creative, tenacious and have the potential for ultimately being capable of handling major accounts in a professional, timely and cost effective manner.

Because of the fundamental importance of communications to the success of this position, the individual's ability to write and speak concisely and persuasively in Greek and English is critical.

Furthermore, this individual must be computer literate (Lotus, MS Word, Excel, etc.).

Chief Measurements of this Position:

Results will be measured according to the following criteria:

  • Agreements signed with targeted prospects
  • Achievement of incremental units from allocated portfolio
  • LeasePlan’s comparable return (profitability )
  • Responsiveness towards prospect requests and pro-activeness towards maintaining and expanding the relationship
  • Utilization of all IT applications to ensure the availability and sharing of updated information
  • Thorough and documented knowledge of the prospect‘s organisation including an overview of relevant fleet information (potentials, makes etc.)
  • The quality of relationship with key decision-making and operational contacts within the client organisation
  • Work outputs through quality, quantity, accuracy and completeness
  • The ability to manage unforecasted projects (e.g. tenders) to their successful and timely completion.
