Job Description - Sales Executive - Road Freight Forwarding

We invite you to join one of the leading regional logistics organizations here at Streem Global. We are actively looking for a  Sales Executive - Road Freight Forwarding with a passion for sales, customer service & business development to join our team working in our offices in Keratsini.

To succeed in this role, you must have excellent sales and interpersonal skills to actively seek out and engage customer experience and portfolio growth domestically (within Greece), internationally, or a combination of both. Building relationships with customers, generating value and enhancing business growth are the main targets of the role. The ideal candidate will be a customer-oriented professional with strong communication skills, a strong understanding of the Road Freight Forwarding industry and the ability to attract new clients.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the road transportation sector through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and other sales techniques.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients, tracking progress and activities in a CRM system.
  • Develop customized solutions to meet transportation needs of potential clients, addressing factors such as cost, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as operations and customer service to develop tailored solutions for clients.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients to secure profitable agreements while maximizing revenue and profitability.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within client organizations, serving as a trusted advisor on transportation matters.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities, providing insights to management for strategic decision-making.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets reporting progress and results regularly to sales management.
  • Identify opportunities for market expansion and new business development within the road freight sector.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals that effectively showcase the benefits and features of our road freight services.
  • Meet or exceed sales quota as defined by the company.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, conferences, and other networking opportunities to promote brand awareness and generate leads.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics or other related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a comparable role, preferably in the supply chain or logistics industry.
  • Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in road transportation field.
  • Strong understanding of transportation logistics, including modes of transportation, routing, freight rates, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high degree of self-motivation and initiative.
  • Very good command of English language. Additional European languages is advantageous
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Office and CRM software
  • Valid driver's license
