We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst with a strong background in both financial accounting and financial planning & analysis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
A Hybrid model involving 2 days of remote work and 3 days in our offices.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting, Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts and budgets;
- Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting updates;
- Develop financial models to support planning and forecasting;
- Collaborate with department heads to gather and validate budget assumptions.
Financial Analysis:
- Provide detailed financial analysis and variance explanations for budget vs. actual performance and track performance against strategic goals;
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis to assess financial risks and opportunities;
- Develop and maintain financial dashboards and KPIs to monitor business performance.
Strategic Business Support:
- Work closely with departmental heads to understand their financial needs and provide actionable insights;
- Support cross-functional teams with financial expertise for various projects and initiatives;
- Communicate financial results and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
System and Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement improvements to financial systems and processes;
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy in financial reporting.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field;
- CFA,CPA or progress towards certification preferred.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in financial accounting, financial planning, and analysis, or related roles;
- Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and financial reporting.
Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and Excel;
- Experience with financial planning software and ERP systems (NetSuite experience would be considered an asset);
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills;
- Excellent command of English;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills;
- Proficiency in project and change management.
