Senior Financial Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst with a strong background in both financial accounting and financial planning & analysis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

A Hybrid model involving 2 days of remote work and 3 days in our offices.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting, Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts and budgets;
• Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting updates;
• Develop financial models to support planning and forecasting;
• Collaborate with department heads to gather and validate budget assumptions.

Financial Analysis:

• Provide detailed financial analysis and variance explanations for budget vs. actual performance and track performance against strategic goals;
• Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis to assess financial risks and opportunities;
• Develop and maintain financial dashboards and KPIs to monitor business performance.

Strategic Business Support:

• Work closely with departmental heads to understand their financial needs and provide actionable insights;
• Support cross-functional teams with financial expertise for various projects and initiatives;
• Communicate financial results and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

System and Process Improvement:

• Identify and implement improvements to financial systems and processes;
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy in financial reporting.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field;
• CFA,CPA or progress towards certification preferred.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in financial accounting, financial planning, and analysis, or related roles;
• Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and financial reporting.

Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and Excel;
• Experience with financial planning software and ERP systems (NetSuite experience would be considered an asset);
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent communication and presentation skills;
• Excellent command of English;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills;
• Proficiency in project and change management.
