As a Senior Jira Automation Engineer , you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Jira workflows and automation processes across various departments. This role requires a strong understanding of Jira, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with different teams to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and customize Jira workflows to support various business processes, ensuring they meet the needs of different departments, including HR, IT, and Operations

• Create and manage automation rules using Jira Automation native tools to streamline tasks, notifications, and processes

• Analyze existing workflows and processes to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices to enhance efficiency

• Work with stakeholders from various departments to understand their requirements and translate them into effective Jira workflows and automation solutions

• Provide training and support to end-users on Jira workflows and automation processes, ensuring they are effectively utilized

• Maintain documentation of workflows, automation rules, and processes to ensure transparency and facilitate future updates

• Stay updated with the latest Jira features and automation capabilities, and seek opportunities to enhance and expand workflow automation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field

• 5 years of experience in Jira administration, workflow design, and automation

• Proficiency in Jira Automation native tool, Jira Service Management, and Jira Software

• Experience administering the cloud version of Atlassian products

• Experience using Script Runner

• Experience with Rest API Jira, Confluence

• Excellent command of English, Greek and/or Russian is an advantage

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve workflow issues

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Jira certifications (e.g., Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator) are a plus
