At Patrique Mercier Recruitment, we are delighted to announce a vacancy for the position of Senior Mechanical / Naval Engineer in Athens. This position is with a dynamic Greek company that specializes in the development and production of marine electric powertrain products. The successful candidate will be responsible for the support of parts sourcing & design needs of the current production, the redesign and the new design and study of the company’s projects.

Role Description

The successful candidate will be tasked with designing and redesigning parts with the aim of troubleshooting existing parts of the ongoing production and finding manufacturing-wise better solutions. You will participate in the stages of conceptual design and detailed design of existing and new products. This includes technical specifications, brainstorming, design of subsystems, numeric calculations-simulations, communication with external suppliers for parts manufacturing, testing, evaluation and redesign. The Senior Mechanical/Naval Engineer will also provide guidance to Junior Engineers.

Requirements

• Diploma in the field of Mechanical/Naval Engineer
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the field
• Previous work experience in complete design of mechanical parts
• Excellent knowledge of CAD programs (preferably Solidworks)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within a team
• Organization and consistency
• Further qualifications will be appreciated in strength analysis through FEA and/or flow analysis through CFD
