Senior Strategic Risk Analyst

Optimal , on behalf of its Client, an Institutional Bank in Greece, is looking for Senior Strategic Risk Analyst to join the Strategic Risk Division, based in Athens. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment.

 Responsibilities:

• Conduct critical analysis of assumptions and risk factors in business strategy (Business/NPE Strategy, ESG, Digital, etc.).
• Develop scenarios, methodologies, and perform/submit estimations, reports, and sensitivity analyses under various scenarios.
• Prepare, review, and oversee reports and presentations through systematic analysis of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
• Execute stress testing exercises within the ICAAP or supervisory frameworks.
• Stay updated with modern trends, deepen knowledge of the local and international financial environment, and achieve recognition as an experienced professional.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Applied Sciences i.e (Mathematics, Engineering) or related field.
• Postgraduate studies in these fields or in Risk Management or IT Applications will be considered a plus
• Around 4 years of experience in consulting/advisory services or the banking/financial sector.
• Experience in Risk Management, Financial / Business Planning, Financial Analysis / Modelling, Stress Testing
• Proficiency in English (Level C1), excellent computer skills (MS Office)
• Familiarity with data analytics tools (MS Access or SQL preferred) is a plus
• Acute perception, structured thinking, critical and analytical ability, attention to detail, teamwork and collaboration, strong communication skills, organizational skills, commitment to continuous learning.
