Sous Chef

• Minimum 5 years of previous experience in a similar position
• Degree in Culinary Arts will be considered an advantage
• Excellent knowledge of Greek and English Language
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment and under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal skills in handling employees and guests’ complaints
• Staying current with local and international trends
• Computer skills including good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Due to work permit restrictions, candidates must have the relevant papers to work to Cyprus

Duties:

• Under the direction of the Executive Chef or his delegate, works, oversees and directs all aspects of the Food Production
• Assists the developing and maintaining up-dated operations manuals for all Food Production and Stewarding sections.
• Conducts daily briefings and other meetings as needed to obtain optimal result
• Assists the Executive Chef in determining the minimum and maximum stocks of all food, material and equipment.
• Keeps the recipes standards as shown by the Executive Chef
• Produce high quality plates both design and taste wise
• Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff’s performance
• Comply with and enforce Health and Safety regulations
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with colleagues and customers
