Telehealth Nurse

The Registered Nurse Telehealth is responsible for remotely assisting in the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Under the supervision of the supervising doctor and collaboration with staff, directs, guides, and assists with patient care and activities that commensurate with their education and demonstrated competencies.

• Provides telehealth support and guidance to seafarers in the assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized treatment programs.
• Monitor and manage telehealth operations, ensuring adherence to established standards and protocols, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Implements clinical and technical aspects of care, intervenes with safety techniques and procedures, and supports the implementation of medical plans and diagnostic testing.
• Review and analyze patient data, health outcomes, and service utilization data to identify trends, evaluate program effectiveness, and guide decision-making.
• Documents nursing encounters using charting in the telehealth platform and attends mandatory staff meetings and training.
• Communicates information to nursing staff, physicians, and other staff members as necessary.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• A minimum of 2 years' acute clinical nursing work experience required.
• Have and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
