Job Description - Workshop Technician

Workshop Technician

The Workshop Technician will perform and oversee the repair and maintenance of governors and related machinery both in house and on sites worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on governors and other related equipment of Woodward Inc on company’s workshop.
  • Thoroughly dismantles equipment parts, cleans and reassembles as necessary and following the official work procedure from the manufacturer.
  • Implements test runs on test bench.
  • Oils and lubricates moving parts on ensure effective performance.
  • Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
  • Orders and installs replacement parts as needed and recommended by manufacturer.
  • Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns.
  • Repairs/overhauls quickly and efficiently.
  • Prepares reports documenting work performed to workshop supervisor.
  • Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
  • Coordinates with customers to schedule regular maintenance on related machinery.
  • Conducting Maintenance and Repair Works to Vessels, Offshore platforms and Industrial sites around the world.
  • Conducting Maintenance and Operation Training to Port, Marine, Offshore and Industrial Personnel.
  • Remote support to customers.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned and accomplish all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.

Requirements

  • BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Working experience of 0-3 years.
  • Availability to travel.
  • Holding a car license.
  • Fulfilled military service.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel) for repair reports.
  • Good use of English language.
  • Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.
  • Works well independently and with others.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
  • Technical and practical knowledge in Governors and Hydraulics will be considered a plus.
  • Some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience, required.
