Job Description - Retail Area Manager

Hiring Solutions | kariera. gr is seeking to recruit a Retail Area Manager on behalf of a client company that operates in the field of optics. The Retail Area Manager will be responsible for leading the sales strategy, team, and operations for 28 optical stores with a focus on maximizing revenue and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop tailored sales strategies establishing sales objectives and KPIs that align with the overall business goals
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis, identifying growth opportunities, competitive advantages, and target customer segments
  • Recruit, and manage a high-performing sales team, providing ongoing coaching and development opportunities to foster success
  • Optimize distribution channels and manage relationships with channel partners to maximize revenue opportunities
  • Will act as a contact point to the Marketing Agency concerning campaigns
  • Monitor and report on sales performance and KPIs, adjust strategies as needed, and conduct regular sales forecasts to inform strategic decision-making
  • Develop and manage the sales department budget, allocating resources effectively and monitoring expenses to ensure adherence to budget constraints
  • Optimize pricing strategies, ensuring competitiveness in the market while maximizing profitability
  • Partner with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns
  • Work closely with other departments, including customer service, marketing, finance etc.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field (MA in Marketing is an asset)
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in retail sales with a proven track record of success
  • Strong understanding of the retail industry, including competitor analysis, demand trends, and target customer segments
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop and monitor sales strategies, objectives, and KPIs
  • Proficiency in CRM and revenue management systems
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Availability to travel
