As an Assistant Waiter at W Costa Navarino, you will be an integral part of the dining experience, providing essential support to the waitstaff and ensuring the smooth flow of service in our restaurant. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the setup, service, and cleanup of guest tables, contributing to an exceptional dining experience, and upholding the service standards of W Costa Navarino.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and setting of guest tables, including arranging silverware, glassware, and condiments, to ensure a clean and organized dining area.
• Maintain table appearance during service by promptly clearing used dishes and utensils.
• Assist the waitstaff in taking and delivering guest orders, providing timely service, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Address guest needs, such as refilling water and wine, providing additional utensils, or accommodating special requests.
• Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of food and beverages to guest tables.
• Assist with the assembly and presentation of dishes and drinks to enhance their appeal.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace.
• Assist with general cleaning and sanitating tasks within the dining area, including tables and chairs.
• Restock the dining room and side stations with tableware, flatware, utensils, condiments, and linen.
• Work closely with waitstaff, bartenders, and management to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations.
• Communicate effectively with team members to meet guest needs and expectations.
• Perform tasks allocated to you by the supervisors and ensure all duties carried out thoroughly and on time.

Requirements

• 1 year’s previous experience as an Assistant Waiter or in a similar support role in the food and beverage industry – Service experience at a 5* hotel preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of service.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• A positive attitude, a passion for delivering excellent service, and a dedication to guest satisfaction.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Speak, write, and converse freely in both Greek and English.
