As a Waiter/Waitress at W Costa Navarino, you will play a key role in providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality service, ensuring guest satisfaction, and contributing to the overall success of our food and beverage operations. Your warm and attentive service will create memorable moments for our guests while upholding the standards and values of the W Costa Navarino brand.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly and welcoming manner, escort them to their tables, and present menus.
• Take and accurately relay guest orders, provide recommendations, and answer any questions about the menu.
• Ensure the prompt and accurate delivery of food and beverages to guests' tables.
• Monitor and attend to guests' needs throughout their dining experience.
• Be well-versed in the menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and special promotions.
• Update your knowledge of the menu as it changes and stay informed about allergens or dietary restrictions to assist guests in making informed choices.
• Verify the accuracy of all orders before delivering them to guests.
• Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and consistent service.
• Suggest additional items, such as appetizers, beverages, and desserts, to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
• Promote special events, promotions, and loyalty programs to guests.
• Set and maintain clean and organized tables, including the arrangement of silverware, glassware, and condiments.
• Assist in general cleaning and side work to ensure a clean and presentable dining area.
• Present guests with accurate bills and handle payment transactions in a professional and secure manner.
• Process payments using the established POS system.
• Be punctual of attendance to each shift
• Always maintain positive teamwork
• Perform tasks allocated to you by the supervisors and ensure all duties carried out thoroughly and on time

Requirements

• 2 years’ previous experience as a waiter/waitress – experience in a similar upscale or fine dining establishment is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A positive attitude, a passion for delivering exceptional service, and a dedication to guest satisfaction.
• Speak, write, and converse freely in both Greek and English. Knowledge of German and/or Russian language is an advantage.
• Have good computer skills.
