Accountant Officer (12 months contract)

Key responsibilities:

As an Accountant Officer (12 Months Contract), you will play a vital role in the finance operations of the organisation.

• Finance Operations & Ledger Management: Handle AP/AR processing, daily cash allocation, bank statement reviews, and reconciliation of account discrepancies to ensure accurate and timely ledger maintenance
• Insurance Technical Accounting: Validate and process insurance-related transactions including premiums, commission payments, and claims settlements in line with operational requirements
• Reconciliation & Financial Reporting: Perform reconciliations with brokers, cedents, and banks while preparing accurate financial data for monthly, quarterly, and annual closing cycles
• Internal Controls & Compliance Support: Enforce credit control procedures, maintain updated process documentation, and ensure adherence to local regulatory requirements and Generali Group policies
• Business & System Support: Support ad-hoc data analysis, participate in UAT for system or policy upgrades, and assist in mapping workflows for new insurance product launches

Candidate profile:

The ideal candidate for the Accountant Officer (12 Months Contract) role brings proven experience from finance environments where attention to detail is essential.

• You bring solid accounting experience in finance environments, with strong attention to detail and a dependable approach to delivering accurate financial information
• At least 3 years of experience in AP/AR processing, reconciliations, and general ledger management within structured organisations
• Strong understanding of technical insurance accounting, including premiums, claims, and commission-related transactions
• Experience in financial reporting, credit control enforcement, UAT participation, and supporting cross-functional workflow improvements
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders
