Analyst, FICC Operations (1- Year Contract), Operations

Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Daily oversight of trade bookings, validations, life cycle management, break investigations and settlements related to Fixed Income, FX and associated Derivatives activities
• Suggest and implement process improvements and utilize technology to improve efficiency in terms of reconciliations process and other operations workflow
• Ensuring Operational standards are adhered to and any exception processes fully documented and approved
• Participate in new product approval process by analyzing the impact on trade booking, settlement, end-of-day process, regulatory reporting, etc
• Participate in projects when required, to facilitate IT Development or Process change. Ensuring Project management, lifecycle standards and tasks are adhered to
• Answer query both from internal and external audit, and provide necessary supporting document
• Work with front office and back office functional support teams to ensure trading activities are properly booked in internal system
• Working with client and PBs to resolve all issues in a timely manner and ensuring daily deliverables are met
• Work on root cause analysis and solutions for re-occurring issue and breaks

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience, preferably in a trade support function
• A good understanding of Fixed Income and Credit Structure Cash and Derivatives products in both exchange and OTC world, product lifecycles and settlement markets
• Risk and control focused mind-set
• Proven track record of driving changes initiatives for efficiency and/or control
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment, able to manage front office expectation in meeting their request
• Good organizational, communication and prioritization skills
• Proactive mindset with willingness to take ownership and responsibility of tasks
• Excellent PC skills with good understanding of MS Office (Word & Excel). Macros/VBA skills are a plus
• Understanding of common derivative instruments and an understanding of ISDA/CSA Master Agreements & Definitions would be a plus
• Language skills: English and Cantonese. Mandarin would be a plus
• Degree Educated
