Job Description - Business Analyst - Compensation ( Insurance)

Responsibilities

Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders across Distribution, Agency, Brokerage, Operations, and IT teams
Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and other project documentation
Support compensation transformation initiatives, including commission, incentive, and remuneration-related system enhancements
Conduct gap analysis and recommend process improvements
Facilitate workshops and discussions with business users and technical teams
Coordinate and support SIT, UAT, defect management, and production rollout activities
Work closely with vendors and development teams to ensure requirements are delivered accurately
Support project governance, status tracking, and stakeholder communications

Requirements

2-5+ years of Business Analyst experience
Life insurance industry experience is required
Hands-on experience in compensation, commission, remuneration, incentive, or agency distribution-related projects
Strong requirements gathering and business documentation skills
Experience creating BRD, FRD, user stories, business process flows, and test cases
Familiarity with SDLC and project delivery methodologies
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Able to work independently in a fast-paced project environment

Preferred Background

Experience working with Agency Distribution, Brokerage Distribution, Operations, or Compensation teams
Knowledge of agent commission structures, incentive schemes, remuneration models, and compensation calculations
Exposure to digital transformation or system implementation projects
Experience with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
Insurance system knowledge is an advantage

Nice to Have

eBao system knowledge or implementation experience
Experience with policy administration, agency management, or commission management platforms
CAPM, PMP, CBAP, or other relevant certifications
