Job Description - Business Analyst (Financial Reporting)

Your new company

Our Client, a leading Insurance Firm, is looking for a Business Analyst with Financial Reporting Expertise to join a Global Transformation Program.

Your new role

Evaluate current processes to identify gaps, dependencies, and potential impacts of implementing the new investment data solution
Review source data files from fund administrators and internal systems to uncover opportunities for future simplification and standardization
Collect and verify reference data necessary for configuring the data management service provider
Create user stories and detailed functional specifications for the target solution; work closely with technology teams throughout development and review cycles
Design and document future-state processes and controls, ensuring alignment with governance and compliance standards
Support testing by preparing functional test cases, validating outcomes, and resolving defects during development and integration stages
Assist business users during UAT and Parallel Run phases by providing analysis and issue resolution
Lead business readiness efforts, including training, communication, and transition planning for impacted teams

What you'll need to succeed

In-depth understanding of investment management, ideally within insurance or asset management environments
5 + years of experience in business analysis, preferably within the financial services sector
Demonstrated success in delivering complex solutions involving multiple stakeholders and external vendors
Financial reporting experience (group consolidation, disclosures, risk based capital reporting)
