Job Description - Business Analyst / Senior Business Analyst (1-year contract)

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a core project team member in the New Business & Underwriting (NBUW) system transformation project, supporting project delivery from requirements gathering through implementation.
Analyze existing business processes and workflows, identify operational pain points, and contribute to process redesign initiatives to improve efficiency and user experience.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, subject-matter experts, and IT teams to define, document, and validate detailed business and user requirements.
Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including test planning, execution management, defect tracking, and stakeholder engagement.
Support business readiness, change management, and implementation activities to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes.

Duties

Conduct business process reviews, workflow analysis, and data-driven assessments to identify root causes, business needs, risks, and improvement opportunities.
Prepare business cases and impact assessments, evaluating business benefits, operational implications, implementation considerations, and project risks.
Review Functional Design Specifications (FDS), clarify requirements with IT teams, and validate that proposed solutions align with business objectives and requirements.
Perform impact and dependency analysis across systems, functions, and stakeholders while proactively managing project risks, issues, and requirement gaps.
Develop test strategies, test cases, and test scenarios, while coordinating business users during UAT, defect resolution, cutover planning, training, and post-implementation support.
