About the role
We are looking for a motivated Junior Business Analyst to support the intersection of business needs and technology within the insurance industry. This is an entry-level role for a recent graduate or early-career professional interested in insurance operations, data analysis, and process improvement. You will work with stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to help enhance underwriting, claims, and customer experiences.

Responsibilities

Assist in collecting and documenting business requirements from stakeholders. Participate in workshops and meetings to understand user needs and expectations.
Analyze data related to insurance processes, claims, underwriting, and customer interactions. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and insights.
Document current business processes and identify areas for improvement. Create process flow diagrams and other visual aids to support analysis.
Assist in project planning, tracking progress, and managing deliverables. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met.
Participate in testing activities to validate that solutions meet business requirements. Help document test cases and report defects.
Facilitate communication between business units and technical teams. Provide updates to stakeholders on project status and issues.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
0-2 years of experience in a business analyst role, preferably in the insurance industry. Internship experience in a related field is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with business analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., UML, BPMN) is a plus.
Basic understanding of insurance products and processes (e.g., underwriting, claims handling).
