C# .Net Risk Developer (Contract)

Main Responsibilities

• • Business Partner: Work closely with Equity Trading team in Hong-Kong to capture and document detailed business needs.
  • Technical Solution Engineer: Translate and document complex functional and SLA requirements into comprehensive specifications and implement it while ensuring alignment with business objectives. Create modular, scalable designs that address business needs while maintaining technical excellence. Balance business requirements with technical best practices for optimal implementation approaches and appropriate technology selection.
  • DevOps Champion: Oversee release management and CICD pipeline optimization, championing DevOps best practices. Ensure you implement robust solutions that maintain production supportability, scalability, and sustainability.
  • Analytics Provider: Build proper instrumentation and monitoring solutions that provide clear visibility into platform performance. Develop dashboards that serve both operational needs and support business analysis requirements.
  • Cross-functional Collaborator: Utilize inner-sourcing frameworks to identify business-driven improvement opportunities across platform dependencies. Facilitate discussions between business and technical teams to implement agreed-upon enhancements.
  • Strategic Technical Advisor: Represent Asia development team in discussions with global delivery teams, advocating for technical approaches that support business objectives. Maximize your team's contribution to platform convergence initiatives that simplify the application landscape.
  • Technology Innovation Evangelist: Adopt cloud solutions and AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot and encourage others to do the same. Demonstrate how these technologies can enhance development efficiency, strengthen quality controls, and improve delivery outcomes.

Functional Experience

• Good financial market and Equity product knowledge.
• Good understanding of Equity Trading Risk challenges
• Excellent written and oral communication. Able to create or maintain detailed and structured documentation.
• Ability to efficiently translate complex functional requirements into clear and actionable technical specs as well as articulate technical concepts succinctly to a non-technical audience.
• English required.

Technical experience

• Advanced proficiency in .NET for webservice APIs and general back-end software development.
• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript for Front-End design (React.js, Angular.js)
• Advanced proficiency in SQL/NoSQL storage solutions
• Proven track-record of building and enhancing complex market facing IT systems for traders
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is advantageous.

Product experience

• Common Equity financial instruments and derivatives knowledge: Stock, Index, Option, Future, Forward, Swap, Bond.
