Job Description - Cloud Infrastructure Architect

Job Responsibilities

Design and develop Alibaba Cloud reference architectures, infrastructure diagrams, and solution designs based on AliCloud blueprints and best practices.
Lead and support cloud migration projects from on‑premises or other cloud platforms to Alibaba Cloud.
Conduct environment assessments, define migration strategies, and support cutover and post‑migration activities.
Collaborate closely with other architects, technical teams, vendors, and Alibaba Cloud engineers to ensure consistent and high‑quality solutions.
Produce technical documentation including architecture diagrams, design documents, migration runbooks, and operational guides.
Ensure cloud designs meet security, compliance, and governance standards.
Provide technical guidance and support to project teams on Alibaba Cloud infrastructure services.
Participate in reviews of vendor proposals and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline.
4-8 years of experience in cloud or infrastructure architecture, with solid hands‑on experience in Alibaba Cloud (Alicloud).
Strong knowledge of core Alicloud services: ECS, VPC, SLB, RDS, OSS, RAM, Security Center, Cloud Firewall, ACK, and networking/security components.
Proven experience in cloud migration projects and large‑scale infrastructure design.
Ability to create high‑quality architecture diagrams using tools such as Visio, Draw.io, Lucidchart, or Alibaba Architecture Center.
Good understanding of cloud security, network design, hybrid cloud connectivity, and best‑practice architectures.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across teams and with external vendors.
Proficiency in Cantonese and Mandarin for business and technical communication.
Alibaba Cloud certifications (ACA / ACP / ACE) are highly preferred.
