Job Description - Infrastructure Engineer (Finance), 65K Up

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with a strong background in infrastructure and system design for one of our largest financial in-house clients.

Your new role

Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure solutions across Operating Systems, including Linux, Windows, and virtualization platforms (Hypervisors).
Evaluate emerging technologies and infrastructure solutions to identify the best-fit options for various projects.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and define system requirements.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including standard operating procedures.
Perform infrastructure configurations and support activities, including system monitoring, troubleshooting, installation, patching, upgrades, performance tuning, backup and recovery, testing, and capacity planning.

What you'll need to succeed

5+ years' experience in IT infrastructure support and system design.
Strong knowledge of cloud computing and virtualisation technologies.
Proven experience administering Operating Systems, including Linux, Windows, and Hypervisors.
Hands-on experience in scripting for automation and process optimisation is highly preferred.
Familiarity with storage and database technologies is an advantage.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
