Java Trading App Support

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Partner with operations teams and various business units to collect requirements, deliver system enhancements, and assist with platform upgrades.
• Work closely with the offshore development team to design, build, and enhance the internal settlement system.
• Review source code to maintain high standards for performance, stability, and overall software quality.
• Deliver daily operational support for back-office settlement and trading systems, quickly diagnosing issues and resolving incidents.
• Participate in scheduled weekend support rotations when required.
• Take on additional tasks or special initiatives as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience supporting trading or financial systems.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on development experience with Java and SQL.
• Strong understanding of financial instruments, including equities, futures, options, bonds, and structured products.
• Solid knowledge of securities operations and post-trade processes.
• Practical experience with Java-based technologies such as Oracle, PL/SQL, Hibernate, and the Spring Framework is highly preferred.
• Proficient in development and support across Linux and Windows environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with a clear focus on risk control and system reliability.
• Effective time management and task planning abilities.
• Self-driven, proactive, and capable of working independently.
• Strong communication skills in Mandarin, and Cantonese.
