Job Description - KYC Reference Data Specialist

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough analysis to detect and resolve gaps, outdated information, and incomplete client records.
Validate, cleanse, and standardize client data to eliminate inconsistencies, duplicates, and inaccuracies.
Input and update client data in proprietary systems using information from Know-Your-Customer (KYC) documentation.
Maintain legal entity data and resolve data quality issues through independent research and verification.
Ensure data formatting aligns with company policies and regulatory standards.
Address data discrepancies and ensure completeness so that records meet internal quality benchmarks for operational use.
Support the management of the data lifecycle-from sourcing and validation to classification and applying quality controls.
Work collaboratively with business units to collect necessary documentation and confirm data accuracy.
Identify missing or incomplete records (e.g., absent hard copies, missing signatures or certifications) and follow up with relevant teams to retrieve required documents.
Contribute to project initiatives such as system migrations, user acceptance testing (UAT), and test case development.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, information systems, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in data analysis, client data management, KYC, or related functions within financial services or a regulated industry.
Familiarity with data governance principles, regulatory data requirements, and client onboarding processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Proficient in MS Excel and other data analysis tools
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
