Job Description - L2 Network Engineer

Your new company
We are currently looking for a Network Engineer for one of our clients, a leading technology solutions provider offering enterprise-grade infrastructure, networking, and security services across Hong Kong.

Your new role

Provide Level 2 technical support for multiple enterprise clients, handling escalated network incidents, troubleshooting, and service requests.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to routing, switching, WLAN, firewalls, and other network infrastructure components.
Perform root-cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and prepare detailed technical reports.
Assist in network configuration, deployment, and upgrade activities following vendor and industry best practices.
Conduct network performance monitoring, health checks, and firmware/OS updates.
Collaborate closely with L1, L3, presales, and engineering teams to ensure timely and effective resolution of complex issues.
Maintain accurate documentation including configurations, diagrams, SOPs, and change logs.
Participate in scheduled maintenance windows and customer project support as required.

What you'll need to succeed

Higher Diploma / Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related discipline.
2-5 years' experience in network support, ideally in a vendor, SI, MSP, or enterprise environment.
Hands-on experience with Cisco, HPE/Aruba, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar networking technologies.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, switching, routing protocols (OSPF/BGP), VLANs, VPN, and network security fundamentals.
Experience using network monitoring / ticketing tools.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA / CCNP / JNCIA / JNCIS / NSE) are highly preferred.
Good communication skills and ability to work with enterprise customers.
Self-motivated, analytical, and able to work under minimal supervision.
