Principle Technology Risk & Controls Consultant - Global Conglomerate

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Technology Risk & Controls Consultant to serve as a subject matter expert across a large organisation. This stand-alone role is ideal for someone with deep understanding of technology risk, information security, and control assurance, supported by a strong consulting or internal audit background.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the organisation's Technology Risk SME , providing expert guidance on technology controls, risk frameworks, and assurance activities.
Lead and execute technology risk assessments , control reviews, and thematic deep dives.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen the organisation's risk posture and address emerging risks- including AI-related risks and other new technologies .
Support internal and external audits, regulatory engagement, and the uplift of risk and control frameworks.
Operate with full autonomy in a stand-alone capacity, influencing senior stakeholders and driving risk-mitigation initiatives across the business.

Requirements

10+ years' experience in Technology Risk, Information Security, Control Assurance , Internal Audit, or in-house Risk & Control functions.
Proven expertise in technology controls, information security principles, risk frameworks and assurance practices.
Strong technical depth (does not need to be hands-on engineering), with the ability to understand complex technology environments.
Financial Services (FS) experience strongly preferred,
Experience working independently, with strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
