Job Description - Project Manager - Insurance

We are working with a leading insurance organization delivering innovative life, health, general, and digital insurance solutions across Asia. We're transforming how insurance works through technology, customer-centric processes, and agile delivery. Join us to shape the future of insurance in a fast-evolving industry.

We are looking for an experienced Insurance Project Manager to lead and deliver medium-to-large scale projects across our insurance operations. You will drive initiatives such as core system implementations, digital channel launches, regulatory compliance programs, claims process transformation, product launches, and operational excellence programs - ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery while managing complex stakeholder landscapes in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery: from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and successful closure
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverable, timelines, budget, and success criteria in collaboration with business sponsors, IT, underwriting, claims, actuarial, compliance, and distribution teams
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), resource plans, and communication plans
  • Identify, assess, and actively manage project risks and issues - escalating when necessary
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops, steer co meetings, and status reporting to senior leadership and external partners
  • Manage vendors, system integrator, and third-party providers involved in insurance projects

What We're Looking For

  • 5-10+ years of project management experience, with at least 3-5 years delivering projects in the insurance industry
  • Strong understanding of insurance business processes (distribution, underwriting, policy servicing, claims, reinsurance, actuarial)
  • Professional project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum Master, or equivalent)
  • Experience with waterfall, agile, and hybrid delivery methodologies
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills - confident engaging with C-level executives, regulators, and external partners
  • Fluent in English (written & spoken); Cantonese and/or Mandarin highly advantageous
