Retail Data BA

Responsibilities

• Support the end‑to‑end POS project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and UAT.
• Translate business needs into clear functional requirements for the new POS system.
• Work closely with retail operations teams to understand store workflows, pain points, and operational requirements.
• Develop functional workflows, process maps, and business requirement documents (BRD).
• Assist in the implementation of dashboards and reporting for the new POS project.
• Partner with IT, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Conduct data validation, testing, and ensure accuracy of POS-related data reports.
• Provide user support, training preparation, and post‑launch enhancements.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams in a global or regional setting.
• Ensure all deliverables meet business quality standards, without heavy guidance.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst / Data Analyst in retail environment.
• Strong understanding of retail operations, store processes, POS workflows, and data reporting needs.
• Experience in POS system implementation or upgrades is highly preferred.
• Ability to create process maps, functional specifications, and documentation independently.
• Basic foundational knowledge in Power BI (or similar BI tools).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills, must be fluent in English.
• Experience collaborating with regional/global teams and vendors.
• Detail‑oriented, structured, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced luxury retail environment.
