Job Description - SAP Consultant - Conglomerate/Finance/Large-scale

We are helping our client, a leading company, to seek a detail-oriented SAP consultant. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining current SAP FICO operations (BAU) while playing a pivotal role in the selection and implementation of a new Budget Consolidation Tool for their subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities

SAP FICO Support: Provide day-to-day Business-As-Usual (BAU) support for the finance department regarding SAP FICO modules, ensuring smooth subsidiary financial operations.
Project Leadership: Lead the requirements gathering and vendor selection for a new 1-2 year budgeting and consolidation system. The project is currently in the pre-implementation stage, offering a chance to shape the solution from the ground up.
Consolidation Strategy: Analyze the current budget consolidation workflow across subsidiaries and define the functional specifications for a new tool that streamlines group reporting.
Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between subsidiary finance teams, group finance, and external technical vendors.
Technical Translation: Translate complex finance user requirements into functional specifications. While you will not necessarily be coding, you must understand the technical landscape well enough to guide developers regarding SAP Architecture, ABAP capabilities, and Fiori front-end requirements.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 5-8+ years of experience as an SAP consultant
SAP Expertise: hands-on experience with SAP in a corporate group or subsidiary context, preferably SAP FICO
Technical Acumen: good understanding of SAP technical architecture. Familiarity with ABAP and Fiori is preferable to effectively communicate with developers and architects.
Domain Knowledge: Proven experience with group budget consolidation processes.
