Job Description - Senior Backend Developer | SWIFT Project

Responsibility

Design and develop backend services for financial applications, ensuring secure and efficient payment and settlement workflows.
Build and maintain application and database solutions using Java, .NET, and Oracle integrated with core banking systems.
Provide ongoing support for mission-critical systems, including troubleshooting, monitoring, and disaster recovery participation.
Collaborate with business users to gather requirements, analyse workflows, and translate them into technical specifications.
Support testing and quality assurance activities, validating system functionality and interoperability with financial platforms.
Work on SWIFT-related modules, implementing financial messaging standards to ensure compliance and smooth integration.
Contribute to DevOps practices by maintaining CI/CD pipelines for backend applications, ensuring efficient deployment and security compliance.

Requirements

University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
4 years of experience in financial application systems development, with direct exposure to SWIFT messaging projects.
Strong programming skills in Java and .NET; experience with Crystal Reports is an advantage.
Solid technical knowledge of Oracle database programming, including stored procedures, triggers, and performance tuning for high-volume transaction systems.
In-depth knowledge of SWIFT Message Standards (FIN, CBPR+, ISO 20022), XML, JSON, and OpenAPI for financial messaging integration.
Familiarity with settlement workflows involving local and overseas central securities depositories (e.g., CHATS, Euroclear, Clearstream) is highly preferred.
Good communication skills in both English and Chinese
