Job Description - Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support the development and enhancement of enterprise data platforms for our Global Banking client. This role will focus on designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines, enabling analytics and reporting capabilities, and collaborating with regional and global stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL and data integration pipelines.
Develop and enhance data solutions using public cloud technologies.
Support enterprise data platforms and related business applications.
Work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Develop, optimize, and maintain data processing workflows to improve performance and scalability.
Enable analytics, reporting, and decision-support capabilities through reliable data delivery.
Ensure data quality, governance, security, and integrity across data platforms.
Collaborate with regional and global teams in an Agile environment.
Troubleshoot and resolve data platform and pipeline issues.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Strong hands-on experience with Java development.
Proven experience designing, building, and supporting ETL/data pipelines.
Experience working with at least one public cloud platform (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
Strong SQL skills and experience working with large-scale datasets.
Good understanding of data modelling, data warehousing, and data architecture concepts.
Experience with analytics and reporting solutions.
Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with cloud-native data services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, or similar technologies.
Experience supporting CRM or customer data platforms.
Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks.
Exposure to BI and visualization tools such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau.
