Software Developer - 3 year contract

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain software applications and digital solutions to support the Company's business operations and daily management needs.
2. Develop and enhance business application features, including information management, data processing, business workflow management, and operational support functions.
3. Analyse business and operational requirements and translate them into functional specifications and practical software solutions.
4. Design and develop software solutions supporting cross-border business operations between Hong Kong and Mainland China.
5. Work closely with technical teams, business users, and external vendors located in Mainland China to gather requirements and implement solutions.
6. Develop and maintain backend components, application logic, database operations, and API integrations to support system functionality and data exchange.
7. Improve system functionality and operational efficiency through software enhancements, business process automation, and system integration.
8. Identify, investigate, and resolve software defects and application issues through code debugging, log analysis, and systematic troubleshooting.
9. Conduct functional and regression testing, support software releases, and perform post-deployment validation to ensure system reliability and stable operation.
10. Collaborate with business departments, administrative teams, and technical colleagues to understand operational requirements and deliver effective software solutions.
11. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, API specifications, and system change records to support ongoing software development and maintenance.
12. Participate in the design and implementation of systems handling cross-border data exchange, workflow automation, and business process integration.

Candidate Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
2. Minimum 3 years' experience in software development, including experience supporting Mainland China business operations, or multi-regional application environments.
3. Experience working with Mainland China-based development teams, technology vendors, or business stakeholders.
4. Practical experience in developing, maintaining, debugging, and testing web applications or business software systems.
5. Good understanding of programming fundamentals, backend development, database operations, RESTful APIs, and system integration.
6. Familiarity with relational databases, application troubleshooting, log analysis, software testing, and deployment processes.
7. Ability to analyse business requirements, investigate technical issues, and implement effective software solutions.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
9. Familiarity with cross-border data exchange, system integration, and multi-jurisdiction operational environments.
10. Experience gathering business requirements and delivering solutions for organizations with multi-regional operations such as Hong Kong and Mainland China.
11. Professional fluency in Mandarin and written Simplified Chinese, with the ability to conduct technical discussions, document specifications, and coordinate project activities with Mainland China stakeholders.

Probation Period: 1 month
