Solution Architect / Technical Lead Trading Risk Technology

If you’re an architect or technical lead who enjoys solving complex problems in fast‑moving markets environments, this role could be a great fit for you ! You’d be joining a global investment bank that’s rebuilding its trading risk technology stack across Asia.

The mandate is clear: design and shape the next generation of architecture supporting market risk, counterparty credit risk, and broader risk analytics — systems that need to be fast, resilient, cloud‑native, and capable of supporting real‑time decision‑making across global markets.

This isn’t a maintenance role. You’ll be hands‑on with:

• Distributed risk engines and real‑time exposure frameworks

• High‑performance data pipelines (streaming + batch) for risk + market data

• Cloud‑native services: AWS, EKS, Kubernetes

• Architecture patterns for scale, resiliency, and regulatory robustness

• Close collaboration with quants, traders, risk managers, and global engineering teams

Alongside the technical depth, the team needs someone who can provide strong technical leadership, guide engineering direction, and bring structure to delivery. Solid project or product management experience is essential — you’ll be shaping roadmaps, prioritising work, and ensuring architectural decisions translate into real, high‑quality outcomes.

You’ll have the autonomy to influence design decisions, modernise engineering practices, and drive architectural standards across the region — while still being plugged into a global technology organisation.

This role is open to those based in Hong Kong and those who are happy to relocate to Hong Kong.
